《德國鹹豬手》
話說我個徳國朋友上個星期終於黎左香港，而我同我男朋友當然要一盡地主之誼同佢飲啖茶食個包。
香港呢個地方雖然好細，但絕對唔好睇小佢既名氣，就好似Nic原來就係香港既忠實fans。係阿根廷既時候，我地因為住係同一間hostel而認識。遇見新朋友第一句通常都一定係where do you come from?當佢一聽到Hong Kong 呢2個字立即變心心眼，原因竟然係佢好鐘意亞洲，又好鐘意航空業。估到未？登登登登，呢個徳國人既畢生大志原來係加入CathyPacific。果時心思思想試下考空姐既我重同佢講，哈哈可能我地有機會做同事呢。當然到左一年後既今日，大家同Cathy依然完全無關係，但Nic總算黎到佢既夢想都市。
由於Nic只係有一個晏就既時間，帶佢去飲茶是必須的，而飲茶又點可以無叉燒包？係呢個時候，最令我驚為天人既事發生了。Nic同我講佢係唔食得小麥的，如果再食就會有cancer! 食唔到叉燒包就算啦，但徳國人無得飲啤酒？我真係接受唔到。Nic重話呢個病係德國都頗為常見，但係亞洲就好少，可能係佢地食（飲）得太多掛。
後來的話題好自然進展到，徳國人到底食咩既呢。無得飲啤酒，禁平時一定會食豬手啦。正所謂沒有最驚嚇只有更驚嚇，Nic竟然同我講佢 從 來 無 食 過 豬 手，更加無聽過德國人會食豬手，佢地只係會瘋狂食香腸（世衛話依家食香腸又會生cancer，都係食樹皮算吧啦)。果個moment，世界停頓了。唔係因為我發現德國人原來唔食豬手，而係我發現自己真係好無知。
其實一般人對世界既了解，都係書啦、電視啦、網絡啦，但講到尾其實一切都係一班marketer、靠旅遊搵錢既人既精心佈局。佢地想你見到咩，你就好自然會見到咩。發展旅遊可能係一種保存傳統既另類方式，但亦係某程度上將傳統扭曲。那麼當傳統再唔係原本既傳統，保留落黎既又到底係咪大家希望見到既呢？
其實世界本來就係一本書，與其道聽途說，不如親身走過每一頁。至於徳國人係咪真係唔食豬手，我唔會禁快下定論，等我下年親身去完再話你知。
Finally my German friend Nicolas Nixon comes to Hong Kong! Last year, We meet each other in Argentina, surprisingly Nic told me that he loves Hong Kong and he would love to join Cathy Pacific. At that time, I even told him that maybe we can have the chance of being colleague. One year after, neither of us join Cathy, but Nic finally comes to his dream land.
Me and my boy decide to take Nic to a traditional Chinese restaurant and enjoy "yam cha". However, Nic told me that he cannot eat anything that contains gluten! That means he cannot enjoy the barbecued pork buns and BEER!!!OMG!!!
After, we started to discuss what German usually eat. And I have asked a stupid question
"German eats Pork Knuckles very often right? "
And guess what's Nic's answer.
"I have never eat this in German"
I nearly scream out at that moment when I heard it. Hong Kong people eat "German Pork Knuckles" in every German restaurant, and now you told me that German don't even eat this thing? Okay... I think I just need some time...
To be honest, we get to know the world through books, television, websites...but those information is somehow "created" by the marketers and businessman who works in tourism. We see the world through their eyes, but is that the real world?
There are so many distraction and comments and opinions in this world. And I have to tell you, If you really want to get to know these countries, just simply go there. Eat their food and live their life. Though I cannot tell you if German eats Pork knuckle or not right now, I will definitely tell you after I visit Germany next year. Nic, can you hear me? Hahaha!
